Me, Myself & Irene is the second film the Farrelly Brothers do with Jim Carrey in the starring role, the first one being Dumb and Dumber.
It follows a Rhode Island State Police trooper named Charlie Baileygates, a mild-mannered man who has been taken advantage of by people throughout his entire life.
Even his new bride cheats on him with a black dwarf limo driver, who eventually steals his wife and leaves Charlie to raise their three highly intelligent but profanity-spewing mixed-race sons.
A number of things start going wrong for poor Charlie and after some time his anger pushes him over the edge and he develops a rude and violent split personality named Hank.
While Charlie is nice, kind, and usually calm, Hank is is the polar opposite of Charlie, being outrageous, mean, violent and extremely short-tempered to say the least.
Believing that Charlie needs to get out of town after everything he’s been through, his boss assigns him to escort a beautiful woman named Irene Waters (Renée Zellweger) to Massena in New York where she is wanted for questioning about a murder case.
When some hitmen come after Irene’s life, Charlie realises that they are being set up and it is up to him and Hank to save the day – and the lady they have both fallen in love with!

This film was awesome, and seeing Jim Carrey act is so much fun. He’s my favorite actor.
